We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Lystra Sampson-Ovid has been appointed as the COMOSA Chapter Chair for Canada and the Caribbean.

Summary
Formerly the Director of the Ministry of Education’s National Open School of Trinidad and Tobago (NOSTT) Lystra is an eLearning and Open Schooing Consultant and an advocate for Open Schooling, especially the empowerment of rural communities. Prior to this, she was the Director of Distance Learning, teacher educator, teacher, agriculture training officer and Assistant Director of the Agriculture Teacher Education Centre. Lystra has considerable experience in managing national and international development projects, including Trinidad and Tobago’s participation in three global initiatives in conjunction with the Commonwealth of Learning, the Virtual University for Small States of the Commonwealth, the Open Education Resources for Open Schools project and and the Open Education Resources for TVET initiative. She has been instrumental in the establishment of the Matelot Innovative Open School (MICOS) and the Metal Industries Company Institute of Technology (MIC IT) Open School.
