Open and Distance Learning Conference

In pursuance of quality Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in the region, NOLNet shall host an ODL conference that will provide the platform and scope for strengthening collaboration amongst the partner institutions, SADC countries as well as with all other stakeholders under the theme:
1. Integration of ICTs in Teaching, Learning and Assessment (MOOCs, eLearning, ICT’s in ODL, OER’s)
2. Increase access to education and affordable learning resources through OER’s (Borderless education, articulation and pathway, intellectual properties/licensing)
3. Lifelong Learning through ODL (Issues can include policies/strategies, poverty eradication, accessibility, equity, flexibility, inclusiveness, and sustainability to facilitate Lifelong Learning (LLL) by means of ODL methodologies)
4. Quality Management in ODL (Developing a culture of quality; leadership/management practices and principles in ODL and LLL; quality frameworks and policies in ODL and LLL; quality assurance criteria/quality standards continuous improvement and lessons learned; application of best practices in ODL)
5. Resource Mobilization in ODL and LLL (Research, collaboration and smart partnerships in ODL and LLL, resource mobilization strategies) Pre-conference workshop: 18 October 2016
